INTRODUCTION TO ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY

Medications

Some clients will be using prescription medications, which should be noted by the client on their record form during the consultation process. It is important that, as the technician, you ask the client during any follow-up visits if their medication information remains the same.  Some clients do not always think to tell you if their medication has changed. A medication can be indicative of a medical condition that the client has forgotten, or omitted, to tell you about.  This information can therefore be important in assessing contraindications.
